Jaguar Scissors Changes Tension Screw
Great news! It appears that Jaguar has returned to the “traditional” tension screw style. If you are a sharpener of these shears in the past, you will know what I mean. These were the most difficult scissors to disassemble for sharpening. You had to have a "special" tool (provided by Jaguar) to disassemble the scissors. But the real challenge was assembling then back together. Trying to tread a brass "counter-sink" nut with a rubber "O" ring without stripping the treads require great patience and a steady hand! Sharpeners had to carry extra brass screws because often times you'd stripped the old one during reassembly.

How Much To Tip Your Hairstylist
This is an intriguing question regarding tipping. How do you decide if 15, 20, or 25 percent is the correct amount. Are you suppose to tip the owner? What if multiple assistants helped with your blowout or shampoo? How do you know where the tip is going to? Proper tipping etiquette at the salon isn't the same as tipping at a restaurant, bartender, massage therapist, or your uber driver. The cardinal tipping rule for salons is 20% but other factors could determine a lesser or greater amount. On an average 15-20% is the norm. Be your own judge based on the quality of service, expectations, professionalism, flexibility, length of relationship, number of associates involved, salon's geographic location. Most important, Ask questions to better understand their compensation process.

Hot Head - A Cordless Heated Hair Conditioning Cap
New Year, New Trends! Hot Head is a unique microwavable deep conditioning heat cap created by Sandra Snell, a professional hair stylist. It offers an easy and stylish way to achieve the results of a salon quality conditioning treatment at home. It dramatically improves the results of your favorite deep conditioner, hair masque, oil, or other hair treatment. Without heat, your treatment can only do so much to improve the quality of your hair. Typically, the cuticle is closed, so the treatment is only able to work on the surface of the hair shaft. The results are minimal and superficial when compared to heat enhanced deep conditioning treatments. Hot Head enables the hair cuticle to open for an extended period, allowing the treatment to penetrate the hair shaft, nourishing it from the inside out.

Ask someone when they know to get a haircut. Here's some of the answers you'll hear."When I get split ends". "When I start getting knots that won't come out even with conditioner". "When I can't take it anymore" etc. Lots of us probably heard every 6-8 weeks. But that can't possibility apply to everyone. Hair textures and lengths are a big factor as well. How To Buy A Scissor
How do you know what to buy? The same way you would buy any expensive item like a car or electronic devices. You would go by past performance, reviews, reputation, test drive it, friends opinions, etc. Would you buy a new car based on specs? The specs of the car are great, but the car runs and rides horrible. It's no different with scissors. Anybody looking for specs on scissors to determine the best scissor, is really wasting their time!
