Jaguar Scissors Changes Tension Screw
Great news! It appears that Jaguar has returned to the “traditional” tension screw style. If you are a sharpener of these shears in the past, you will know what I mean. These were the most difficult scissors to disassemble for sharpening. You had to have a "special" tool (provided by Jaguar) to disassemble the scissors. But the real challenge was assembling then back together. Trying to tread a brass "counter-sink" nut with a rubber "O" ring without stripping the treads require great patience and a steady hand! Sharpeners had to carry extra brass screws because often times you'd stripped the old one during reassembly.
Now that Jaguar has changed back to the "traditional" screw this problem has been eliminated. A "traditional" screw is basically a stainless steel screw that came be tighten or loosen with a standard screw driver.
