About the materials:
Different types of steels and how they are manufactured for the Akkohs Shears:
High carbon steel composites - A small percentage of carbon and
or other exotic materials such as molybdenium or vanadium are
added to the steel for strength and edge-holding ability.
Stainless steel composistes - A similarly percentage of chromium
and nickel is added to the steel to give it strength, edge holding
ability and corrosion resistant properties.
No stainless steel is 100% corrosion proof but all will
withstand a certain amount of corrosion and staining.
Akkohs scissors consist of special alloy produced by
HITACHI METAL WORKS, which is called Gin-3.
As outlined as above, more important metal would be
composited with Cobalt, Tangsten and Chrome or Mangan.
